For those who think they are paying too much tax, and want to do something about it.

Have you ever wondered how despite how much tax your paying, the government never has enough? People pay income tax, property tax, tax on goods, a higher tax for cigarettes, alcohol and petrol. In most countries you have to pay a user fee for government services. And yet in most countries governments borrow year after year.

All money in circulation has been issued by a central bank. All money in your pocket is a bank note issued by a central bank. We can only pay the interest, year after year. Every year the interest is paid, the money in circulation decreases, and we're still left with the principal. At some point more money must be borrowed, which will only raise the amount of interest which must be paid. That's why you are paying so much tax, your paying for government services plus interest.

What is the solution. In this book David E. Robinson, states the two solutions. All debts issued by the international bankers, must be canelled after 70 years. However, if the 70 years is over, and the country owes $100 billion dollars, and is in a war and needs to borrow $5 billion. That country will not have its $100 billion debt cancelled, it will be renewed, because it needed to borrow that $5 billion.

Their is another way to do it though. If you've gone through this process you will feel immediate financial relief. Their are other things to carefully consider though. For instance an employer usually asks for taxpayer identification. So yes, this is something you need to carefully consider. This still doesn't change the fact that this is the book that shows the process to being free financially. Also it does answer that concern, if what this book is saying is true, than you still use your taxpayer ID card, but your taxes go to you. Just make sure you know what your doing before you take action.

This book applies not just to Americans. All over the world a licenced lawyer swears to the BAR, which is in Britain. The UCC code applies to all over the world. This book shows how our government have taken over our lives and sold us into slavery. It also tells us how we can break those chains and gain our freedom from all the polaticans and their excess spending. It's a great book, full of suprises.

Indispensable Anthology Offers Best Overview of Cyborg Origins, Unique Interviews + Seminal Texts

This classic anthology, first published in 1995, remains the definitive collection of material covering the history, culture and academic consideration of cyborgs. For me, the most impressive accomplishment of The Cyborg Handbook is the inspiration with which Chris Hables Gray shapes many divergent views of cyborgs into a coherent recognition of life entering a radical new stage of evolution.

I admit to being seduced from the first page by the extraordinary language and vision of Donna Haraway's Foreward -- "Cyborgs and Symbionts: Living Together in the New World Order". Of course if you are new to cyborg texts, her words may feel more like "a warning shot fired 'cross your bow". In a style that is wildly and poetically evocative, Haraway introduces the impossibly high stakes strategy of merging biologies with technologies in the service of survival. She suggests it may be the only strategy that can sustain our species (while also possibly altering us forever.) "This handbook", Haraway explains, "is a valuable guide to the cyborg worlds we willy-nilly inhabit, whether we want to or not."

The Cyborg Handbook offers us 43 separate pieces published between 1960 and 1995. Gray has staged them in a narrative arc that tracks emergence of "the cyborg impulse" resulting from a global convergence of biologies, histories and technologies. Mythological & metaphorical models for cyborgs appear long before technologies arrive to enable it. It is the space program and the demands of modern warfare, as well as increasingly intrusive medical practices, that finally make inevitable the technological augmentation of biology. Perhaps most exciting is the special view provided of "the cyborg genesis" via interviews with pioneer engineers as well as the papers and reports they wrote. From there, this book documents the growing proliferation of cyborg memes in space, in war, in medicine and in imagination production. It goes on to introduce the future with texts on cyborg anthropology and cyborg politics. And now... 20 years after it was first published, with augmented realities and augmented identities rapidly becoming the new normal, The Cyborg Handbook seems more relevant than ever. And while editor Gray has carefully avoided the sensationalism that stains other cyborg-themed book, we must now recognize a reality more shocking, more radical, and more future-altering than any story about the Star Trek humans facing The Borg. I mean (with apologies to Walt Kelly and Pogo) that we have seen The Borg and they is us.

The Cyborg Handbook, though compelling, is not exactly an easy read. Cyborgs were (and still are) a comparatively new subject. I had the sense of multiple new vocabularies being created in front of me as I read -- sort of like taking a train trip on a railroad while it is still being built. Plus there is the thud factor -- 560 pages, 54 of them the index. I found it necessary to allow myself extra time to work through the multiples voices and vocabularies of the diverse and divergent texts. I had an especially hard time navigating the post-modern, poly-syllabic worded socialist/marxist/feminist academic texts. I was thankful for Alan Hill's playful and edgy book design that added visual adventure to often-dry text.

And there are disappointments. Missing, for example, is Donna Haraway's iconic 1985 text "A Cyborg Manifesto: Science, Technology, and Socialist-Feminism in the Late Twentieth Century". You can still buy it on Amazon in several books by Haraway -- in The Haraway Reader as well as Haraway's Simians, Cyborgs, and Women: The Reinvention of Nature.

If you prefer a more reader-friendly introduction to cyborgs -- one you can read in hours instead of days -- I highly recommend Amber Case's An Illustrated Dictionary of Cyborg Anthropology -- just out and also available through Amazon. But even that book, in a list at the end, recommends you also read Chris Hablas Gray's The Cyborg Handbook. And for good reason. There is no other book like it.

Holding a coveted spot on my shelf

I would not suggest this book for someone looking for a quick, easy answer to the world of cyborgs. There are papers here from dozens of authors, each talking about a wholly different aspect of the cyborg - some cover the idea that technology has already turned many of us into cyborgs, others that fetuses are cyborgs, some stick with the traditional notion of the cyborg as half-man half-machine, some examine the role of the cyborg in film. It takes all kinds. And, in sturdy academic practice, some of the authors even give gentle jabs to other papers in the book, noting flaws or the overlooking of some fine point. Most of the research draws from Donna Haraway's original research into cyborgs, but there are a few people that are trying to break away from her hegemonistic mold. For a very entertaining and much needed example of this, try to find the two or three digs at Donna Haraway's definition of cyborg.
This book is one of the most invaluable resources for anyone doing serious research into the idea of the cyborg. Though there is a great interview with Clynes, co-inventer of the term "cyborg," The Cyborg Handbook won't do for primary source material. The bibliography is wildly extensive, however, and the book functions as an excellent starting point for the researcher. For those who aren't afraid to work for it, but who have a more casual interest, this book can be both a starting and ending point.

For a stroll on the Sicilian Prehistory

Whoever decides to read this work on prehistoric dolmens in south-east Sicily probably has some notions regarding prehistory, especially the Bronze Age, though may not know the characteristics of the author’s specific investigations in detail. In fact the research deals with monuments that are little known in Sicily but better accredited to other areas of Europe and the Mediterranean.
Salvatore Piccolo set himself to explain the dolmen phenomena in Europe in the prehistoric Megalithic context, reaching a finely detailed description of the ancient stones to be found in the south-east of the island of Sicily.
It presents a lot of new material, much of it the work of the author himself.
Apart from some special and isolated examples, which somehow seem to escape the cultural matrix, for example the lithic slab sepulchre identified towards the beginning of the twentieth century at Monte Racello, it would seem the phenomena of dolmens, to use the correct word, in Sicily are specific sepulchral monuments of the early Bronze Age. Piccolo presents an updated map of their distribution in Sicily: a little number are found in western island, but the major concentrations are in eastern, and the author argues that there was at least many migration of northern people into Sicily. This volume highlights one thing, a greater understanding on the human travel in the course of the centuries. The attractively produced book is a very welcome addition to the literature on bronze Age in Sicily.
The greatest among its many strengths is the author's demonstration how some monuments, not considered till all of time, can be investigated through close examination of specific archaeological evidence and how such an investigation can help us understand what life was like for people who lived in the past.
The anthropological remains and ceramic fragments, found by the author in one of these sites, are the most significant features: they show tombal characteristics of these small monuments and their dating to the end of the 3rd and the first half of the 2nd millennium B.C.

Walking around through history.

What a wonderful country Italy is! Nowhere on this planet is as rich in history, culture and scenic beauty! We all dream of visiting this splendid peninsular. My advice is never go without feeling curious and ready to wander around. It is impossible to see all there is to see on just a couple of holidays, so if you have already explored Rome, Venice, Florence, Milan and the Lakes do visit Sicily! Might I suggest a base in Syracuse so that you can breathe the atmosphere of Magna Grecia.
"Ancient Stones: The Prehistoric Dolmens of Sicily" by Salvatore Piccolo is a must to be guided through some of the most magnificent countryside that is overflowing with pre-historical evidence. Great Resource material!

I am a physical therapist. I bought this book as a quick reference for when I write up plan of cares for patients. The format is nice--it includes a description of the condition, epidemiology, pathogenesis, clinical features, differential diagnoses, things to look for on an exam, appropriate tests, red flags, medical and rehab treatment/modalities, surgical interventions to consider and prognosis (this list is NOT all inclusive!) In a nutshell, it is a concise format with very useful information. I was pleased to see that the conditions are things I see a lot in the clinic. I started working in orthopedic rehab after a long break raising my kids, and needed some reference tools! I definitely found this book to be very helpful.
